Here's the thing . . .

You're gonna like working with me. I know... that sounds presumptuous, but my coworkers tend to appreciate my good-nature and positive attitude (even when the pressure is on). I lead by example with multi-tasking, problem-solving, efficiency, and — my favorite — clear communication. I'm always open to ideas and I encourage cross-team collaboration for the best results.

I'm the Senior Marketing Manager, Content Strategist, and Copywriter/Editor for National Purchasing Partners (NPP). We're a sales company owned by Virginia Mason, but we don't market healthcare. Our creative team produces complementary marketing for 80+ national brands, including Verizon, Staples, AT&T, Expedia, Adobe, Sherwin-Williams, and Best Buy. We facilitate more than $1.7 billion in yearly transactions, offering top industry discounts to SMB and enterprise. In 2019, our small marketing group completed a company rebrand and website redesign with greatly improved UX strategy, automation, and information architecture.

I was hired for my agency experience to help launch NPP's WordPress site with Salesforce integration. We introduced paid digital, project management tools, brand guidelines, and strategic brand messaging. I now manage our marketing department. We don't have a Creative Director, but my official title is Senior Marketing Manager. I oversee all content, strategy, communications, SEO, and social. NPP is owned by Virginia Mason because we have contributed more than $130 million in proceeds to support autoimmune disease research at Benaroya Research Institute.

Previously, I was Creative Director at a small college and for my freelance marketing business. More recently, I was creative team lead, senior copywriter, and marketing strategist at CMA, a Seattle agency serving B2C and B2B clients. My "many hats" included brand strategy, content developmentproject management, account management, SEO, product naming, and scriptwriting for digital and TV advertising.

I balance creative and analytical thinking in order to communicate easily with both content and technical teams. Leadership and sales look to me to manage projects efficiently across departments and to meet high-level goals. My natural gift for engaging and understanding people helps me excel in pitches and meetings with diverse clientele and project stakeholders. I believe clear communication is the best way to create a successful strategy that delivers optimal results on time and in scope.

Synopsis: I'm a content expert and reliable leader. I bring a positive vibe to the office and my team. I encourage fun, focus, and swagger no matter the situation. I emphasize respect, communication, organization, and a collaborative dedication to the task(s) at hand. Browse my LinkedIn recommendations, which I can humbly summarize as, "He gets the job done and he's a pleasure to work with."
